This warehousing supply company has an excellent reputation for customer service and has a large purchasing network of clients. The business is rapidly expanding, and as such they are looking for someone to join the team who can manage the operational and financial side of the business.
You will be responsible for managing the day to day operations and financial operations. You will liaise directly with the CEO and Board, providing advice on the approaches and strategies for managing the Companies accounts, inventories, premises, assets and logistics.
Team fit is essential for this role as whilst this company is a market leader within it’s field and area, it is operated by a relatively small team. You must therefore have a high level of communication skills and the ability to develop rapport and relationships with clients, suppliers and the Management team.
Duties will include:
- Effectively managing the day to day accounts requirements, including internal and external financial reporting, accounts payable, receivable & balancing
- Providing operational oversight, financial monitoring and quality assurance in relation to the Inventory Management System.
- Developing detailed understanding of and relationships with major suppliers including managing a major market segment.
- Preparing tender and contract documents for major customers.
- Managing freight, insurance and motor vehicle fleet.
- Managing company premises, plant and equipment.
- Co-ordinating preparation of quarterly and annual board reporting requirements.
- Sound financial knowledge and proven experience within this area
- Ability to meet deadlines and deal with a high pressure sales environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage projects with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- A team player who can work well on own initiative
