Primary ResponsibilityTo support Business Services Managers and Partners to satisfy client expectations, and meet all relevant reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and superannuation funds, applying knowledge of relevant taxation legislation to each clients unique set of financial circumstances ready for Manager and Partner review.
- Preparation of client financial accounts for all types of entities, including sole traders, partnerships, companies, trusts and superannuation funds from trial balance ready for Manager and Partner review.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual Business Activity Statements as required, ready for Manager and Partner review.
- Supervise other staff during the course of an assignment
- Preparation of Fringe Benefit Tax returns, ready for Manager and Partner review.
- Provide assistance to clients with the processing of their management accounting information through the use of various accounting software, including MYOB and other industry/client specific programs.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with clients to obtain all information necessary to complete the set task, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Complete all assigned tasks within a clearly defined time frame.
- Ensure Manager and Partner review points are addressed.
- Ensure that Australian Taxation Office deadlines are met.
- Contribute to organised training sessions and present on negotiated topics as required
- Raise client bills and monitor work in progress.
- Conduct assignment reviews for peers and junior staff
Person Specification- Member or near-member of ICAA or CPA (or international equivalent)
- Significant FTE experience
- Must have Practice background
- A broad knowledge of accounting and general financial management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced numeracy skills
